British Armed Forces Sites to Accommodate Refugee Applicants in Effort to Terminate Hotel Use
Numerous refugee applicants may be accommodated in military barracks as the government seeks to phase out the reliance of temporary lodging.
Talks are ongoing regarding the utilization of two facilities - a facility in Scotland and the other in the southern England - for accommodation for 900 male individuals.
The government leader has ordered Home Office and Defense Department authorities to expedite efforts to identify proper armed forces locations.
The government has vowed to eliminate the use of temporary hotel accommodations, which have cost billions in funds and turned into a central issue for anti-migrant protests.
Under Consideration Defense Sites
Migrants could be placed in the Cameron military facility in Highland region and Crowborough army training camp in East Sussex by the end of next month.
Commercial facilities, short-term shelter and previously unused facilities are also being considered for future accommodation.
Authorities Statements
Authoritative figures stated that all sites would adhere to wellbeing requirements.
"The government remains deeply troubled at the level of individuals without proper documentation and temporary hotel accommodations."
"This government will terminate each temporary accommodation facility. Work are advancing rapidly, with more suitable sites being proposed to ease pressure on communities and cut refugee accommodation expenses."
Current Shelter Figures
Nearly 32,000 individuals seeking protection are at this time being housed in temporary lodging, representing a drop from a high point of over 56 thousand in the previous year.
A recent report found that multiple billions of taxpayers' money had been "wasted" on refugee housing.
Earlier Military Facility Utilization
Two previous defense facilities - former RAF base in the eastern county and the Napier facility in the southern county - are already being operated to shelter asylum seekers after being commissioned under the prior leadership.
The administration head remarked on the circumstances, stating: "I am resolved to close all asylum hotels. Words cannot describe how frustrated and angry we are that we face a challenge as big as this by the former leadership."
