Based on recent figures, the population of people aged 100 and above in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the number of male individuals reaching 100 has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the count of women aged 100 or over almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to receive stories from centenarians, their family or friends, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s transformative changes and developments.
